Our rules

01

Information, not a roof assessment

RoofIQ is a neutral educational information service, not a roofer, inspector, adjuster, insurer, or lawyer. Storm exposure and age do not establish property condition. We do not interpret policies or insurer estimates, value claims, predict approval, advise disputes, or contact insurers for you.

02

Your contact details are not a product

RoofIQ does not sell, rent, or share your identifiable personal information. Roof-price contributions stay private during review. Only de-identified county and material aggregates may be considered for publication after manual approval, a 30-day hold, and at least 10 qualifying completed jobs in the same county and material. You can decline without affecting your private roof profile. No leads are sold, and identifiable homeowner records are never provided to sponsors.

03

Sponsored stays separate

Paid placements must be labeled Sponsored. Sponsorship never changes factual records, creates a recommendation, or purchases access to Registry details. No paid factual edits. Verification and source review remain independent.

04

Consent is specific

Registry sharing requires a separate affirmative choice for each contribution. Raw records remain private during review; only eligible de-identified aggregates may be considered for publication under the stated sample and timing rules. Alerts, quote delivery, and document intake are unavailable.

05

No deductible-waiver offers

RoofIQ does not offer or promote waived, covered, rebated, or otherwise bypassed deductibles. No free-roof or guaranteed-approval promises are accepted.

06

Conflicts must be disclosed

Ownership relationships and relevant conflicts must be documented. Uncleared conflicts are excluded from offers. No affiliate offers or data-licensing offers are active in this prototype.

07

Sources and uncertainty remain visible

Numeric results require sources, observation dates, compatible units, adequate samples, and review. Missing history is not no storms. Preliminary reports are distinguished from verified historical records. Homeowner-reported is not invoice-verified.

Questions before you sign

Contractor scope

  • Which materials, quantities, exclusions, and allowances are documented?
  • Who handles permits and disposal, and what changes require written approval?
  • What is the written warranty, who provides it, and is it transferable?

Independent assessment

  • What was directly observed, and what remains uncertain?
  • What are the alternatives, and what are their limitations?
  • Can I receive a written factual record without a coverage or claim opinion?

General questions only. No current Texas legal-deadline guidance or attorney review is claimed.

Prototype status

Customer and business validation have not started. This private prototype has no active customer service, payment, email delivery, external agent, or participant testing.

Validation milestone

Validation is not started. It means evaluating homeowner tasks and business workflows under one reconciled, preregistered protocol. Recruitment can begin only after the study owner resolves the protocol, privacy and consent requirements, and organizational and ethics review. No participant testing or business pilot is active; no progress count is published.

RoofIQ provides general, population-level information for educational purposes. It is not a damage inspection, claim valuation, coverage opinion, or legal advice, and RoofIQ does not act as an adjuster for anyone.
